My research focus is in the area of mathematical ecology, focusing in population dynamics. I am particularly interested in modeling the practicality and efficiency of conservation treatments - taking both analytic, statistical, and simulation approaches.

I'm particularly interested in modeling conservation efforts, trophic cascades, regime shifts, and animal behavior in North American birds. My current interest is in the mysterious population decline and habitat restoration efforts of the American Kestrel, along with the behavioral and environmental conditions that give rise to mixed-species flocks.  I am always open to any project ideas!
